Some news!

Since so many of you have been stalking my pintrest ( jk jk) and asking me about some pins I have been pinning I figured I will write a quick post about it. I usually wouldn't write this post but I feel that it needs to be written for a few reasons.

Matt and I are NOT pregnant...but we have decided that we will start trying for baby #2. After a lot of thought and discussion we feel that our family is not yet complete and that MJ needs a sibling. I feel the need to write this post only because I have written a few posts about how we will NOT be having another baby. I wanted to not catch everyone off guard when some day in the future we announce 9 if we are so blessed to do so) that we are pregnant with baby #2. If you know me well you know that we were so so sure that there will only be one child in our lives. We are both extremely excited about the decision we have made as well as nervous for many many reasons.

Like I said I just wanted to write a quick post so those of you who have seen my boards are not confused! Also a prayer would be wonderful if you don't mind. With my fertility problems, we are hoping this time around it doesn't take a  surgery as well as fertility meds to get pregnant as well as praying for a safe pregnancy!

Thankful Monday

ipsy glam bag: November

yay its here!! Oh how I love ipsy.

I thought this months bag was a lot of fun. A lot of good name brand products!

Here is my bag

EM Cosmetics Creamy color sheer lipstick Miss Moneybags

This is a really pretty color when you first look at it. When it gets on the lips its a little too pink for me, especially for the fall. But as I have stated before, nothing that a lip gloss coat cant fix! It does smell really good though which is strange for a lipstick. I would love to try some of their other colors!

Price: $16.50

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Lip Crayon in Shameless
I am not a fan of Lip Crayons. Not sure why. I think Im just a lip gloss gal. In this picture it looks pretty purple but Shameless is a really pretty color, off the lips lol It is almost the same color as the Em cosmetics when it hits the lips. Very pink! this wont get too much use, for sure not until the summer.

Price: $14.00

Nailtini Straight Up Lip Color in caviar cocktail
LOVE LOVE LOVE this brand. So no doubt I wont like this no matter the color. I really wanted to have the gold color because I have a silver type polish and the gold is just so pretty so I might need to buy it. Nailtini is an awesome nail polish!

Price:$13.00

Pixi Beauty Bronzer in Summertime

I am more of a blush person rather then a bronzer but that doesn't mean I don't like them!! Pixi is a pretty good brand ( besides their mascara). This might be a TAD on the dark side for me, even for a bronzer but I still really like it.

Price: $18.00

Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil In Jezebel
Im a black eye pencils girl through and through but this is really pretty! I goes on much lighter then you would think. I actually had to run over it a few times to get the color to show! I probably wont buy this product but its fun to mess around with!

Price:$14.00

HSI Professional Argan Oil

I was pretty excited to get this product. I am always looking for a good hair product because my hair is so dry! I just ran our of my morrocon Oil so I was really really excited for this to come. Its so thin which I love! It also smells really really good and my hair doesn't look greasy at all! Im curious to see how my hair is after a few days of using this product.

Price: $29.99 for a 2oz bottle

Like I said above, I loved this bag. Although there are a few products that weren't really my thing, the bag was still nice. The only complaint I have is that I got two lipsticks.

Like always, cant wait for December!

Thankful Monday

Thankful Monday

It is only appropriate that todays thankful Monday is strictly for our Veterans.

I am thankful for each and every man and women who has served in our military and protected our country. This includes all the Veterans from the past, the ones currently active duty, and those who plan to serve in the future.

I am thankful for those who are currently deployed because I know how hard it can be to be away from your family during the holidays.

Most of all I am thankful for my husband. I have seen him first hand sacrifice so much. I am so proud to call him my husband and the father of my child. He is my favorite veteran.

Then of course although military wives, and parents, are not veterans I am thankful for them too. Because they are the ones who support each and every veteran which helps encourage them to keep doing what they are doing. Being the one left behind I know it can be so hard.

Ipsy Glam Bag: November Sneak Peek

Can you believe its already November? That is just crazy to me! Anyways here is November's Sneak peeks! I am so excited for this months ipsy bag. Who am I kidding I always am excited!

Sneak Peek #1

You asked and we listened! To kick off "Glam It Up" month in style, every ipsy subscriber will be getting a glamorous goodie from this emspiring makeup line!

So obviously we will be getting em products as one of them. In this picture I am thinking its their Lib Balm, Lip Stick, eyeliner, and mascara. A lot of people are not wanting the mascara since ipsy sends them out a lot. I love mascara as you all know so I am more then happy to get that!

Sneak Peek #2

These lip products are perfect for your party clutch and, this month, you will be getting one of these undeniably glamorous shades

Well here we have Be A Bombshell Cosmetics. These colors are 'Trophy wife' and 'Some Beach' I am not a fan of these colors at all so it wont get much use.

Sneak Peek #3
A touch of color and a hint of sheen - a little dust of one of these and you'll be good to glow!

Ipsy gave this one away on their instagram. This is the Pixi Bronzer. I am pretty excited to try this one out. I still cant find a bronzer I love!

Sneak peek #4

Every toast you make will be a little more glamorous when you use one of these lovely shades to raise your glass.

This is obviously Nail Polish and I am loving the colors! Perfect for November I think. I have silver so I would kill for the Bronze. People are saying Nailtini which very well could be. I feel like the Bronze in this picture is way lighter then the one they have so we shall see!

Sneak Peek #5

Get ready to sparkle like a diamond with one of these amazing products in your November Glam Bag!

We can tell one of these is BH Cosmetics Glazy Girl sample palate. Next we have the Cailyn Eyeshadow, then HSI PROFESSIONAL Argan Oil LEAVE IN CONDITIONER flat iron thermal protector which I would love to try. Then we have Glam Glow Mud, Then Tresemme's hair spray or could be moose. Its hard to tell with them I feel like they all look the same lol. Last we have fake eye lashes again. I Havent used my last two so do not want these!

Sneak Peek #6
Add a little extra sparkle to your eyes with this star-worthy liner!

This I believe is Gem eye pencil from Starlooks. I really like their products! Loved their eyeliner from the last bag!

Sneak peek #7

All that glitters isn't always gold, but November's Glam Bag surely is! And did you catch it? ipsy has you covered with SIX items - everything you need to Glam It Up this holiday season!
Here is a little peek at Novembers bag!! I think its way cute!

Beauty Tips

Our MOPS theme this year is ' A Beautiful Mess' and that I always am, the mess part. If beautiful means food on my clothes before 9am ( caused by me not my son, jkjk sorta), what was nice and done hair is now pulled up in a bun before 10, and shoes that might not match then that's me! Well jk on the shoes thing a girl should have good shoes on if you have no time for anything else!

I was asked to give a moms interview for the last MOPS newsletter. One question was what was a beauty tip I could share. I have read beauty tip after beauty tip. Some make me look fabulous and have made its way into my routine, others are horrible and I pay for it later on. It was hard for me to really think about a beauty tip that would work for everyone. Not everyone likes makeup, or some moms just don't have the time to use it. Maybe your hair is short or you like to keep it up. There are tips for all of that but I wanted one that was better then it all. I decided to share the best beauty tip I have ever received, and that is to always smile because its the most beautiful asset a women has. This is so true. It doesn't matter if your teeth are perfect or you think they aren't. Your smile is still the most beautiful thing you have. Ask any man, go ahead. They will tell you the same. There is just something about a women who always has a smile on her face.

I suck at this beauty tip to be honest. I try my best but, as you moms know, there are just times you cant. I mean who stops to think ' oh am I smiling today'? While cleaning up pee that your potty training toddler left in the living room for you? Not me! partly because I don't have a potty training toddler but you get the point. So like any beauty tip, take it or leave it. use it when you can. You will catch yourself thinking about it a little more often and then it will become a little more of a habit. Then people will look at you strange in the supermarket wondering why you are smiling when your child just knocked all the food off one shelf. Don't be creepy now lol just be beautiful!

Besides that best tip ever, here are a few others I have learned over the years and seemed to have stuck with me!

*If you're out of shaving cream, lather your legs with conditioner instead of soap. Conditioner will soften the hair on your legs making it easier to shave (and it will leave your skin feeling extra silky). I bet your thinking, I don't even shave every day. What mom has time for that? I can proudly say I do shave pretty much every day. For sure not with shaving cream or even conditioner half the time but on the days that count I do!

*Before applying nail polish, wipe nails with an acetone-based cleanser. Essie Weingarten, founder of Essie Cosmetics, told the pros at Redbook that cleaning excess dirt, oil or moisturizer from your nails will ensure that the polish adheres properly. If you have time for this one do it! I always have my nails polished and hate that I have to touch it up or change it 2 times a week due to mommy duties making it come off.

*Wear sunscreen every day, rain or shine. Even when it's cloudy. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, 80 per cent of the sun's ultraviolet rays pass through the clouds. Im sure you ladies know this, your smart. Most makeup or lotions have sunscreen in them so your in luck!

*Makeup sponges help you apply make up, but not without a cost. They usually soak up more liquid foundation than what ends up on your face. The result? You're wasting foundation and constantly buying new sponges. The fix? Get a foundation brush. You waste less foundation and it allows for a more even and precise application than a sponge would. we all want to save money so this one speaks for itself

*The best thing you can do for your appearance is to drink lots of water. Hydration helps your skin stay moisturized and glowing, boosts your metabolism, and keeps your energy levels up. Spritz water on your face too, especially in the summer, to keep it feeling and looking refreshed." Forget about being beautiful I just want the energy that comes with this one!

* Treat your eye area gently. This is the most delicate part of your face. Cleanse with care; blot, never rub.  This one I learned from my Arbonne ladies!

* I could name a million more but I will end with- Wash your make off every night before you go to bed. the entire face. It makes you age faster! We are already getting old too quick (well you guys not me :)) so we don't need anything else to help it along do we now?

Thankful Monday

For a small city where they make sure kids still get to enjoy their trick or treating even when its a few days late because of the rain,

for Huron Green, which made me feel like I was back on a base for a few hours!

That school is flying by and I'm almost done!

For fall. I love fall it seriously is the best!

I have been horrible at blogging these past few weeks! With the change of season comes fatigue and on top of being tired all the time I have had a sick child, a  sick husband, and homework! MJ had a week long cold that turned into Croup AGAIN. Man this kid cant catch a break. Of course when MJ gets sick, so does M but for much longer ( or he just milks it for as long as possible ;)). MJ had to miss his school Halloween party because he was so sick the day of Halloween and almost missed trick or Treating BUT it rained so bad that afternoon that most places rescheduled it. We were able to take him from 4-6 yesterday which was awesome. The weather was so much better, he wasn't sick, and it was earlier which is perfect for his age. he still wasn't too sure about what was going on but he refused to let us carry him or hold his pumpkin bucket even though he just looked so tired of walking. Every house we went to just loved his costume! Since we are more 'country' we went into a neighborhood to trick or treat. I was so excited to see almost everyone out in their drive ways and their fire pits going and everyone having a blast, exactly like it would be if we were back in Mt Home AFB trick or treating. It was so awesome to feel a little 'at home' again. That will for sure be our neighborhood we trick or treat at every year.
School (for me) is going awesome! It is a work at your own pace course which I wanted since who knows when I would have the time to sit and get to do homework with the craziness in my house. I have been so intrigued and excited about what I am learning that I have finished 4 out of 6 units already! That is 16 lessons done so far. That includes text reading, workbook stuff, exams, and 4 hr long lecture interviews which are awesome!Unit 5 and 6 isn't like the other 4. it is virtual internships. Then instead of exams online, I send in my work by mail to the teacher/ wedding planner for them to grade and give me feed back. This will go into my portfolio which is really cool. I am just waiting for Unit 5 in the mail so I can get started! I can not believe I have gotten this far so fast! I can now say by January 1 2014 I will be a Certified Wedding Planner and can start on starting up my business! I am nervous and excited all in one.
