Ipsy Glam Bag Review: December

Well my Ipsy Glam Bag  turned out better then I thought it was going to be. Im sad to say that I was actually wrong on a few of my sneak peeks for the first time ever!! Im slacking!! I was still bummed about the theme, I felt like it needed to be more Holiday rather then party or 'Celebration'.

here is my bag!

POPBeauty Bright Up your Life- Smokin Hot Eye shadow.
I really liked this eyeshadow. Although the regular one comes with much more colors, this was a good sample size. I didn't really need the other colors anyways! I wore it for the first time yesterday and had a crazy busy day and it stayed on well throughout the entire day!

Price: $24.00 for 10 colors

Be A Bombshell The One Stick in Flustered
Im not sure how much use this will get. I need to play around with it more to see what I can do. I do not like cream blushes or eye shadows and the color is eh. I know it can be muted a ton so we will see how it goes!!

Price: 16.00

Nicka K New York Nail Color Ripe Apple
I love nail polish... I cant get enough. This color is beautiful!!! I think I will be buying more Nicka K New York because the product and price were great!!

Price: $4.99

NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Harmonica or Pearl
This color is not pretty in the tube... At least not to me. Once you put it on its actually very faint and gives your lips a nice simple touch of color. I was surprised. Im not a huge lipstick wearer but im starting to like it more and more. I still prefer the shine of gloss over lipstick!

Price: $4.00

English Laundry Signature Fragrances for men and women

Well The one for Women split so I only have about half of it to use. They both smell amazing though!! I actually just realized the green one was for men ( it had the women one split all over it so I kept smelling that) so Im excited to see how M likes it!! Bummed most of mine was wasted but love the smell!!!

Price: $90.00 for a full size bottle ( per bottle)

Like I said before, Im surprised at how much I liked this months bag I really wasn't expecting it! As always, cant wait for next months!

Guest poster!! Gifts for dad!!!

Its Christmas time!! yay!!! We love this time of year... no scratch that, I love this time of year. M probably hates it because I worry too much about what gifts to get everyone, and I spend too much money on buying them.

Now that MJ is in our lives, it makes it easier to shop. First of all, kids are so easy to buy for. They love everything ( well at this age he does). Then when it comes to the Grandmas, and Great Grandparents its easy!! They LOVE gifts from their grandson. You know the ones I'm talking about, the I love Grandma pillows and Grandmas Kitchen signs. They eat it all up. When it comes to the Great Grandparents, pictures will do. They love little pictures of their Great Grandson. Easy!! Christmas shopping done! Wait, not yet! There is still dad and Grandpa to shop for! They aren't so easy. They are practical. They like practical gifts. They don't want a t-shirt that says we love grandpa. They might wear it and tell you they love it, but it will quickly turn into their weekend housework shirt. If your like me, you always have a hard time shopping for dad, Grandpa, or what ever men there are in your life! Well that is where this post comes in handy!! I have been in contact with someone who will be our guest blogger today!! She has written a fabulous article/shopping guide for that man in your life!

Check it out!

Gifts for Dad

A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail. This holiday season get him something that he deserves. Forget the standard industrial package of socks and check out these ideas that will bring him comfort and joy for the coming year:

 Leeway Jeans, howies, $120

Get your fashion conscious teen Leeway Jeans from howies and he’ll be forever grateful. This U.K. brand has just become available in the States so he’ll be ahead of the pack. Don’t be fooled by their slim shape- these jeans are made for play. With amazing Powerstretch Denim they have enough give for some serious hijinks.

Double-Duty Punching Bag, Blue Ribbon General Store, $36

Let him work out some angst while picking up his socks. This hamper-turned-punching bag can hang in his closet and roll with the punches. Or hang it from the ceiling and let him go all Rocky Balboa on it. This addition works as both an indoor and outdoor featured piece.

Interactive speaker, MoMA Store, $38

Take music with you everywhere you go. Sometimes it can be hard to hear your devices without headphones but no more. Simply place a smartphone on top to amplify the sound. It works off three AA batteries or a USB connector.

Boulder Hat, Stetson, $99

Give your Dad extra protection from the elements in this classic trapper hat. Stetson hats are an American legacy, known for their quality and craftsmanship since the “Boss of the Plains” premiered in1865. This waxed cotton trapper with convertible ear and chin flaps will help him weather the winter.

Personalized Whiskey Barrels, Uncommon Goods, $75-$200

Let your dad open his own distillery at last. These personalized miniature oak barrels age spirits to its peak flavor just the full-sized versions the professionals use. The small size means the oak flavor is infused quickly. Once the liquor is perfectly aged he can enjoy a glass straight from the tap.

Barrel Matured Maple Syrup, Tuthilltown Spirits, $35

Speaking of barrel aged goodness, this incredibly rich maple syrup from the ancient orchards of Quebec will take Dad’s already-legendary pancakes to the next level. Tuthilltown Spirits is a specialty distillery in the Hudson Valley. They mature the syrup in their signature charred American oak barrels to give it an oaky richness and just a hint of raw bourbon flavor.

Outback Jacket, howies, $220

Splurge a little on a jacket he’ll wear nearly every day of the year from the outdoor experts at howies. This U.K. brand has just become available in the States and it provides unparalleled gear for doing whatever he loves in the Great Outdoors. The Outback jacket has Merino wool bonded fleece on the inside to wick away moisture and a water and wind resistant outer soft shell. He’ll stay dry inside and out all year round.

Bubble Copter, Think Geek, $40

Who said toys were just for kids? He’ll have entirely too much fun running special ops around the house with this remote controlled helicopter that also shoots bubbles. Be warned: your mom and his dog may never forgive you for this.

Although not all of their products are 'my style', many of their products I just love!!  This company has defiantly made it on my list of places to shop!

Below is the product I was sent to review!

This Beautiful necklace/earring set is wonderful!! The teal color is perfect and defiantly in style! Although a bit heavy, the necklace is truly beautiful. it is a perfect set to spruce up some of my more basic outfits!

The matching earrings go perfectly with the necklace. They are much more light weight which is perfect for me. I received many complements on this set each time I have worn it!

What has dash been up to this past week???? Having Dash to visit this year for the first time has been a  ton of fun!! MJ is loving it. He is still a little freaked out by him but he gets so excited every morning as he runs to the last spot Dash was to see if he is still there. Ipsy Sneak Peek: December

I am sad to say that I am not excited for this months bag. maybe I was wanting  different theme for December??? I do like the way the actual bag looks but the products in it, not so much! Hopefully you are a little more excited then I am!

Sneak peek #1

Multiple uses and multiple parties await this holiday!

This looks like the Be A bombshell The One Stick for cheeks, eyes, and lips.  I don't really like products like this so I probably wont use it! Great brand though!!

Sneak Peek #2

We're looking forward to partying with one of these colorful trios!

This is prolly the only product I am excited about. Who can use an eyeshadow!! You can never get enough, well that's not what my mom thinks but I say you can never! This is the POP Beauty Bright up your life shadow. Of course this isn't the full size thing but looks like a good one!

Sneak peek #3

Kick up the color and kick up your heels with one of many lovely lip shades!

Here we have the NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick. Im over lipstickts, especially the colors they have been giving me but I do love NYX! In this picture we also have The Big Lip Pencil from J. cat Beauty. Unless Im getting a matching lipstick, I don't use them really. My lip stick drawer is crazy full and doesn't need to be re stalked any time soon!

Sneak Peek #4

We're counting down to December's Glam Bag with two of these celebration-worthy products!

Looks like the eye Blender Brush by Mirabella Beauty which I could use for sure, the Julie G Holiday Frosted gumdrops Nail polish, which I love polish so I can always have more of that, the Starrily Bzzz Bzz nail polish which I would love, Salon Perfect Perfectly Natural Lashes, Ardell Natural Lashes, the box of bombshell'esque lashes on the left side looks like Andrea Strip Lashes, Demeter fragrance roll-on possibly Snow, also could be Coastal Scents Liquid Eyeliner Stone which I would love if its in black, and last what looks like a pink roll on perfume which I have never seen and no one else seems to know!! We shall see!

Sneak peek #5
Pop the bubbly and cue the confetti! You're invited to a month-long celebration with us and the December "Celebrate!" Glam Bag!

And our last sneak peek is the bag of course!!! I AM excited for the plain bag. Will go perfect with my new coach bag!

I guess I am excited for more products that I though I would be for this bag. Even with that, I am always excited because its just fun to get them and open it!! lol

Look Who Came to the G House!!

We are so excited to welcome Dash into our home this year. This sounds like such a  fun tradition to share in our family.

Of course MJ is still young so although this year will be fun, there will be a lot of teaching, and re teaching what Dash does. its hard to teach a young toddler that he cant touch something or else the magic will fade away. Or to be good or Dash will report to Santa. So this year is just going to be a lot of fun doing silly things with Dash so MJ can find him! M and I set our entire schedule for this year of Dash's little jokes and we are so excited! Stick around every Friday to see what Dash did through out each week of December!
