Well as you have seen from the post below, we found a house ( enter screaming with excitement now)! Yep that is right after a stressful few weeks, needing to find the right house before M left for school when most people spend months looking for a house, we found one. Now during our struggle we found ones that we liked, but were too expensive. We found ones that were ok, but we didnt love them, we found extremely ugly houses, who would buy that! We thought about building, but too stressful.
Now that house that we picked was always on our list to go look at but it was in Huron not Sandusky. We were really wanting Sandsky so M had pretty much no commute. House after house we started noticing they were either extremely expensive, because its one of the top 5 places to live in the US, OR they were too old, a very touristy place.
We were picky, are picky. We wanted 3 bedrooms or more. We would have liked a basement. We wanted 2 full bathrooms or more. We wanted at least .30 acres of land and the house needed to be more then 1700Sq Ft. We also liked modern, the old houses were no cutting it for us. After looking at house after house ( poor mother in law) we noticed that Sandsky might not be for us. Upper Sandusky was 'ghetto' and we just weren't finding anything anywhere else. So we started to search else wear. My mother in law had 6 houses on her list to go see on the last day.
The First- Down town. Beautiful home but too close to the house next door.
The second- I dont even remember the second lol
The third-yea dont remember that one either
The Fourth- Horrible horrible horrible. We had hig hopes for that one. From the pictures it just needed some good pain..no far off.
The fifth- Not bad. Didnt love it but could be one we wouldnt mind living in
The sixth- As she walked around out front and back ( no fence) while waiting on the code to unlock the door I started to fall in love. It was beautiful. Everything I imagined living in one day. When they got inside it was the same thing. I was worried about a few things, the downstairs was all open ( didnt know if I would like things all together not separated by walls), there was no basement, and I needed to see the rooms. Well I just knew it was the house we needed to buy.
So here is the info and some pictures!!
3 bedrooms
2.5 bathrooms
1897 SqFt
1.30 Acres of land
4 car garage ( can fit 4, 2 each side length wise)
So huge garage
Shed the size of my living room now
Insulated dog house
She redid the whole bottom level. Took out walls to make it open and redid the kitchen and extended the living room.
It really is a beautiful home. It does not have a fence but my inlaws are putting one in before we get there for our birthday. Its expensive for that much land so we are very greatful.
The drive is 20 minutes straight HWY for M to work. It is also only 20 min from the surrounding larger cities so lots of places to go and things to do.
Here are a few pictures. I will take more of the inside when we get there and paint and decorate it how we like.

We will be building a patio within the first year. Looks silly to have all that land and no patio or deck! |
Congrats on your new home! It's beautiful!
